The Vietnamese head of Government, who began a four-day official visit to Seoul on Sunday, made these statements while participating in a business forum attended by more than 500 representatives of ministries, sectors, cities and enterprises from the two countries.

At the meeting, Minh Chinh invited South Korean institutions to expand their investment in Vietnam in priority sectors in which his country has needs, including advanced technology, electronics, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, high-quality human resources training and the cultural industry.

He also asked South Korea to continue to support Vietnam with financial resources to build infrastructure, improve smart governance capacity, and assist people living in remote, border and island areas.

In his speech, Minh Chinh expressed the desire to open new horizons of cooperation guided by the spirit of “harmonious interests and shared risks,” and reiterated the importance that Vietnam grants to foreign direct investment as an important component of the economy.
