In a statement, Fattouh urged the International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, to launch an investigation into the torture and deaths of numerous prisoners in Israeli custody.
The mistreatment and humiliation suffered by our compatriots in prisons requires immediate intervention by the international community to stop such criminal practices, he stressed.
In a video, Ben Gvir deemed it necessary to shoot Palestinian detainees in the head.
He also called for the passage of a bill in the Knesset (Parliament) that imposes capital punishment on those who “commit racially motivated murder with the aim of harming the State of Israel.”
The head of the Prisoners’ Club, Abdullah Al-Zaghari, stated that such statements confirm the genocide practiced against the Palestinian people.
Ben Gvir’s statements go beyond the threat because the prison administration of that country has already executed prisoners since the outbreak of the current cycle of violence, on October 7 last year, the activist denounced.
According to Palestinian data, since that date at least 18 inmates have died in prisons in the neighboring country.
