The initiative’s aim, arranged by the League of Arab Nations Foundation, is to activate the popular role and mobilize the masses in the legal struggle against the Israeli occupier and its crimes.
The court heard a group of pleadings presented by PhD students in the field of international law from Syrian and Arab universities.
According to the Secretary General of the Arab League Foundation Hala Al-Asaad, this court is part of the plan to boost the culture of legal resistance against Zionist crimes.
This court is a starting point for graduate students to do international public works drawing attention to what is happening in Gaza in terms of crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupier against the people of the Gaza Strip.
Lebanese Judge Muhammad Tay revealed that the court unanimously decided to criminalize the acts committed by Israel’s leaders and soldiers and the countries and groups that participate, support, finance and contribute to committing those crimes.
Tay condemned the Tel Aviv officials with the penalties stipulated in national and international laws and called for compelling States and organizations to prosecute the perpetrators of these crimes and impose the most severe penalties on them.
