The Syrian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the forces and governments behind this attempt, urged respect for Bolivia’s constitutional order, maintaining the democratic and institutional stability and the rule of law.

The text rejected foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs and expressed support for the legitimate Government of Bolivia, headed by President Luis Arce, democratically elected by the people.

The Foreign Ministry called on arrogant countries and forces to respect the freedom of the Latin American nations, including Bolivia, to preserve their legitimately elected institutions.

Leaders, prominent figures, and several organizations worldwide spoke out against the coup attempt, which failed after President Arce swore in the new members of the military high command.
