In some European nations, which have traditionally regarded Africa as their colony, a completely unfounded feeling of jealousy arises, and these, Africans have long disliked, so that they are not willing to continue relations on a neocolonial basis, the spokesperson told Rossiya 1 television channel.

It is for this reason that these countries are much more sympathetic to the model of relations on which Russia is based with African nations, and that are grounded in mutual respect and benefit.

The issues addressed in the talks held by Russia’s and the Democratic Republic of Congo’s leaders Vladimir Putin and Dennis Sassou Nguesso respectively proved such basis, Peskov granted.
