According to Xinhua news agency, the leader of China pointed out that the two nations are reliable and jointly developing partners.

“Throughout half a century of diplomatic relations, the two nations have supported each other in an ever-changing world, jointly defending international justice and the legitimate rights of developing countries, forging an unbreakable friendship,” the Chinese leader stated.

Xi recalled Maduro’s state visit to China during which they together announced the elevation of relations to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership, marking the beginning of a new era in bilateral ties.

“China is willing to work with Venezuela to maintain the original principles of their diplomatic relations, continue the traditional friendship and, from this new starting point, constantly enrich the content of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership, thus contributing to world peace and development,” he added in his message.

For his part, Nicolás Maduro stressed that in 50 years diplomatic ties between the two countries have advanced considerably and underscored the historic significance of the establishment of an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership.
