Official sources indicated that Gonzalez met with Hulangamuwa regarding the 185th Annual General Assembly of the Sri Lankan organization, which the Cuban diplomat attended with representatives of other nations.
In May, the Cuban ambassador and Duminda Hulangamuwa exchanged views on the commercial relations between Cuba and Sri Lanka and the possibilities of expanding them.
Concerning the meeting, Gonzalez presented Hulangamuwa a letter from Cuba’s Chamber of Commerce President Antonio Carricarte so that his Sri Lankan counterpart could attend the 40th edition of FIHAV, to be held in Havana, the capital of Cuba, on November 4-9.
Carricarte also expressed, in his message, his wish to strengthen relations between the two chambers of commerce.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors was re-elected Thursday for the 2024-2025 term at the Chamber’s 185th Annual General Meeting.
