The CTEI, according to information released by the Ministry of Education, seeks to stimulate the development of vocations, skills, and competence in those areas, as foreseen in the country’s National Development Plan.
Speaking about the presentation of the national strategy, Minister Aurora Vergara stated that it is a commitment to “educational innovation, contributing to quality, equity and sustainable development of the communities”.
She also highlighted the scope and impact of the CTEIs, especially in rural areas of municipalities that are part of the Territorially Focused Development Program (PDET) and the Zones Most Affected by the Armed Conflict (Zomac).
tThe Ministry of Education explained that the strategy will benefit 25 thousand students and 1,430 teachers in public educational institutions.
