Foreign Minister Yvan Gil and his Zimbabwean counterpart, Frederick Makamure Shava, who arrived in Venezuela on Tuesday on a working visit, will preside over the meeting.
The Zimbabwean diplomat met on Wednesday with Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, Gil, and Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel.
The authorities discussed bilateral cooperation and other issues related to the defense of the self-determination of peoples and the United Nations Charter.
They also analyzed the unilateral coercive measures taken against Caracas and Harare, Venezolana de Television state-owned channel reported.
Before the meeting, the Zimbabwean foreign minister met with Venezuelan Productive Agriculture Minister Wilmar Castro, with whom he agreed to strengthen cooperation on agricultural issues.
The two Governments had signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding in 2008 to establish a political consultation mechanism.
Venezuela and Zimbabwe are members of the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter.
