A statement delivered to Prensa Latina in La Paz ‘(…) reiterates the position expressed by the president of the Saharawi Republic, Brahim Gali, in expression of full solidarity with the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, his government and with the brotherly Bolivian people’.
With the support of popular sectors mobilized in the Casa Grande del Pueblo, Arce and his cabinet managed to neutralize the coup attempt, while the Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation, as part of which Zuñiga and four other officers were arrested.
