The opening ceremony will be at the House of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, where Ruiz will screen the short film “Cerulia” (2017) directed by Sofía Carrillo and classic horror film “Alucarda” (1978) by Juan Lopez Moctezuma.
The Mexican Embassy in Cuba coordinated the initiative with the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE), the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), and the House of the Festival.
Terror Mx aims to show a selection of classic and contemporary films in Cuban movie theaters that deal with stories of that genre in Mexican cinema.
