A statement from the Missile Administration, quoted by the state news agency ACNC, noted that “the test of separation and guidance control of individual mobile warheads was successfully carried out”.
The entity stressed the importance of the test” in raising the technical level of missiles and strengthening the weapons system in general.
It further noted that the launch was carried out within a radius of 170-200 kilometers favorable to measuring the flight specifications of the warheads separately, ensuring safety as much as possible with the first-stage engine of the solid-fueled intermediate-range ballistic missile.
The warheads were guided to three coordinated targets, he said and explained that this technical test was part of the routine activities of the DPRK’s General Missile Directorate and attached defense scientific research centers and at its full stage will have “profound significance” in the DPRK’s technical development and missile potential.
