“They want to damage the prevailing climate of peace, tranquility and happiness in the face of the (elections) on July 28th,” the head of state denounced last night on television, and revealed that he knows the plans of “the fascist right” with “dots, commas, signs, all their intentions” with which they intend to destabilize the nation and cause damage in those communities where Chavismo is winning with 80 or 90 percent of the votes.
The president stated that the right is desperate and “given their absolute desperation they are taking ugly steps, bad steps, against the country. They intend to declare a brutal electric war against the communities, they are bad people and they are crazy about the Miraflores seat,” Maduro said, although he asserted that it is safe because it is in the hands of the people.
Maduro commented that some of the material authors of sabotaging the national electrical system are imprisoned, convicted, and confessed in court.
“Br alert people, a thousand eyes, a thousand ears, Bolivarian National Armed Forces on the alert,” said Maduro, and ordered the security and military bodies to activate a special 24-hour emergency plan to guarantee the protection of vital and popular electrical installations.
The president also instructed the head of the delegation of the dialogue table with the opposition, Jorge Rodríguez, to convey to the opposition, the complaint that they are taking bad steps, and in turn, called on the Popular Units for Peace, created by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, and the organized Popular Power, to be attentive and join the revolutionary vigilance to protect the assets of the State and ensure citizen tranquility.
The President assured that peace will reign in the country and “no one is going to steal that right from us before, during, and after July 28th.”
