Palestinians criticize Netanyahu for preventing peace agreement

Ramallah, Jun 25 (Prensa Latina) Palestinian parties accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of promoting a war of genocide in the occupied territories and of ignoring growing calls from the international community to stop the conflict in Gaza.

“Netanyahu does not want to stop the conflagration, he only seeks an operational pause to exchange prisoners and then resume fighting,” denounced in a statement the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which criticized the prime minister’s comments in an interview.

“Netanyahu’s plan demonstrates that it is the main obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement,” stressed the PFLP, which ratified the position of the Palestinian factions, which demanded the end of the war, the total withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the return of the displaced to their homes, the reconstruction of the territory and the end of the blockade.

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine spoke similarly when highlighting the resistance of the militias in the Gaza Strip against the Israeli Army. The group questioned the United States support for the invasion of the Strip and demanded the withdrawal of the occupying troops.

Khalil Al-Hayya, leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), also considered in statements to the Al Jazeera television network, that Netanyahu does not want to end the war, and affirmed that Hamas is ready to engage in real and serious negotiations.

Netanyahu confirmed on several occasions that the conflict will continue until Hamas loses control of the Gaza Strip and is defeated militarily, a plan that former Israeli officers and politicians cast doubt on.
