According to the qualifying process that culminated in the most recent World Championship, and after the allocation of universal and refugee places, there will be 20 women and 17 men who will defend the colors of the region in the different tournaments of the martial art. As usual, Brazil will be the most represented nation, with 13 competitors (seven men and six women), followed by Cuba (2 and 2), Puerto Rico, Mexico and Chile (2).
Meanwhile, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay will be represented by one judo player.
For the mixed team competition, only Brazil qualified for this zone, since it was necessary to obtain at least five individual places, three in each gender.
