According to the National Meteorological Center, torrential rainfall will again hit parts of Guizhou, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Zhejiang and Yunnan with areas experiencing up to 200 millimeters of rain.

In the city of Huangshan, Anhui province, this severe weather situation caused dangerous levels in 99 of its 188 reservoirs.

On the other hand, official data showed that 400,000 residents of this city were under risk while 54,109 people were evacuated until Sunday afternoon.

In Hunan province, a landslide in Douxi village caused the collapse of four houses and the death of eight citizens.

The General Office of National Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Management advocated flood prevention in the Yangtze River basin, highlighted the need to prepare for potential geological disasters and called for strict implementation of the early warning and response linkage.
