President To Lam made this remark at a press briefing during the official talks, in which the two countries agreed on leading directions and measures to strengthen relations based on mutual trust and benefit, equality, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.
They also decided not to ally with any third party to take actions that harm each other’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and fundamental interests, and not to act against any third party and pledged to contribute actively to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.
The Vietnamese head of State commented they also advocated for strengthening political trust through exchanging delegations at several levels, especially high-level ones, and conducting negotiations to improve the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Increasing essential projects in energy, oil, and gas was discussed. They affirmed that they would create favorable conditions for enterprises of the two countries to expand their investments and operations in each other’s territories.
Before the press briefing, the two presidents witnessed the signing of 11 cooperation documents between ministries and sectors of the two countries in education and training, science and technology, justice and sports.
