“Extra-regional actors come to the South Caucasus with their own agenda which, to put it mildly, does not always respond to the interests of the countries of this region”, Galuzin added to the Sputnik news agency.
According to the diplomat, Western nations promote in the South Caucasus “a markedly anti-Russian, confrontational agenda,” which “will not contribute to stability and security.”
Galuzin added that the most effective way to ensure security in the South Caucasus is by “joining the efforts of the countries of this region.”
