In statements to the Ethiopian News Agency, Kang highlighted the historic cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, and development fields, which has expanded to other sectors, including education, energy, and agriculture, and which will be further consolidated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s recent official visit to Seoul.

The South Korean ambassador recalled that a framework financing agreement worth one billion dollars was signed in the presence of President Yoon Suk-yeol during Ahmed’s visit from June 2-4.

The agenda of the Ethiopian head of Government included his participation in the first South Korea-Africa Summit on June 4-5.

The agreement will provide for infrastructure works, scientific and technological capacity building, health care, and urban development in Addis Ababa over the next four years.
