Recently, the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba granted Sancti Spíritus the venue of the main event on the 71st anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrisons.

The decision took into account the stability of that province in fulfilling the main tasks in the economic, political and social fields.

Sancti Spíritus shows indicators that place it at the forefront in the country, and develops a system of work and coordination of tasks that guarantees the direct and systematic link between the structures of the party and the government with the communities.

It also maintains a timely follow-up and control of the fulfillment of the economic plan and the budget.

Among the achievements of the province, the Political Bureau highlighted the stability in programs of broad social scope related to education, sports and health care.

The province’s infant mortality rate was 4.7 deaths per 1,000 live births at the end of 2023, and maintains to date the lowest in the country with 2.7.
