GELECT President Lazarojim Alberto Campos told Prensa Latina that the 4th Congress of Electronics and Automatics will contribute to obtaining scientific knowledge that might be implemented in the short, medium, and long terms, so that the Cuban industry can continue to make progress.
So far, works have been identified with a probable effect on the industry, especially those related to the Group’s lines of development, he continued.
He said they include energy efficiency, renewable energy, medical and general electronics, water treatment, and GELECT’s technology incubator.
Other works deal with solution projects in security systems in several automation spheres, refrigeration and climate, and strategic projections related to producing weighing instruments, Campos stated.
He stated that in order to improve the Group’s lines of development, the works to be discussed at the Congress include the banks of problems identified in each company.
The event, which is taking place at Havana’s Conference Center and the Pabexpo fairgrounds until June 21, aims to achieve the country’s integration, complementarity, and international insertion in the industrial sector.
