El Salvador reports 11 Homicide-Free Days in June

San Salvador, Jun 18 (Prensa Latina) The National Civil Police (PNC) of El Salvador on Tuesday reported 11 days without homicides attributable to gangs nationwide so far in June.

No gang-related homicides were reported on Monday, the police reported on X.

Since June 9, no deaths due to violent actions by gang members have been reported, so the rates remain low, placing the country among the safest in the region and in the Western Hemisphere.

So far this month, with 11 crime-free days, El Salvador has accumulated 120 during the course of 2024, which is an example for other nations in the area.

Regarding the Salvadoran security policy, this week the Minister of Security of Argentina, Patricia Bullrich, is visiting the Central American country to learn in detail the structure that has allowed the Nayib Bukele Government to reduce crime.
