Cuban president inaugurates Cubaindustria exhibition fair

Havana, Jun 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Tuesday attended the inauguration of the International Exhibition of Cuban industry, Cubaindustria 2024, which is taking place at the Pabexpo fairgrounds.

As on previous occasions, this fourth edition of the event – until June 21 – will hold the International Convention and a fair in unison and will be attended by some 1,200 participants, 1,157 of whom are nationals and 108 foreigners from 22 countries, like Venezuela, Spain, France, Russia, Belarus, Turkiye, Namibia, China and Vietnam.

The main objective of the event is to achieve greater integration, complementarity and Cuba’s international insertion into the industrial sphere, and according to Deputy Minister of Industries Ernesto Cedeño, it will be a great opportunity to join forces and strengthen alliances.

At the Convention, 10 Congresses related to the industry will be held, with the participation of 927 delegates, 868 national and 59 foreigners from 12 countries; 333 presentations are confirmed, 315 national and 18 by foreigners; 62 master conferences, 38 of which are national and 24 by foreigners.

On the initial day of the event, the 16th International Recycling Congress, the 4th Electronics and Automatic Congress, the 19th Metallurgical Congress, and the 4th Congress of Containers and Packaging HABANAPACK 2024 are being held.

Some of them will extend their exhibition days until Tuesday and others will begin to meet as the 4th International Congress of Fashion, Environments and Styles FIMAE 2024; the inauguration of Habana Moda; the International Apparel Industry Symposium; International Furniture Symposium, and the International Perfumery and Cosmetics Symposium.

During the inauguration of Cubaindustria, Cuban Minister of Industries Eloy Alvarez noted the relevance of the 4th edition of the event.

To date, the signing of 26 legal documents linked to investment, trade and industrial cooperation has been identified.
