To this end, the Dominican Republic will have the support of the Brazilian agricultural research company (EMBRAPA), the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.
Both ministries approved a memorandum of cooperation and understanding that has been promoted for about three years through the Dominican Embassy in Brazil with this agreement.
By the agreement, both countries are committed to working together on digital and virtual production tools, knowledge transfer and advances in the agricultural and livestock models they use.
Dominican Minister of Agriculture Limber Cruz announced plans to establish an office of the Brazilian multinational EMBRAPA in the country, which will work with technicians, local producers and professionals from other neighboring countries.
Dominican Ambassador to Brazil Patricia Villegas de Jorge said that it is of great interest to the Government to develop a policy focused on the transfer and capture of knowledge from nations such as Brazil, with greater development in research and technology.
