At the meeting, participants discussed the main war scenarios in the world, regarding the role of the media and the need for them to reflect the truth, as well as the role of new technologies in that effort, local television reported.

Rescuing history, recognizing the work of those who have accomplished these missions and disseminating their professional and human work, as well as adding them to new and important tasks in the field of political and military education, are also objectives of this circle.

The initiative fulfills an agreement from the 11th UPEC Congress, and a desire of the members of the organization who have participated in internationalist coverage missions in scenarios of military confrontation, the source noted.

During the meeting, the Executive Committee of the circle of war correspondents, made up of professionals from all over the country who have worked as war correspondents, was also set up.
