In the letter, addressed to the president of the news media, Luis Enrique González, the SPS director said he was pleased to express “my most sincere congratulations to the collective and management staff of this sister agency for their excellent performance, effort and commitment to the truth”.

After emphasizing that Prensa Latina fights against fallacies and disinformation, Laabeid pointed out that the institution’s contribution is substantial in the effort to break the information siege against the Cuban Revolution.

“In that long battle, the important media, founded on June 16, 1959, has contributed to the dissemination of just causes, particularly those of the Sahrawi people in their struggle for independence,” he adds.

Labeid asserts that the SPS is proud to count on the services of Prensa Latina, an agency that defends truth and reliable information.

“On behalf of the SPS collective, I ratify the will to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity and consolidate the collaboration between Prensa Latina and the Sahrawi News Agency,” he added.
