In the meeting with members of the national secretariats of the Federation of University Students (FEU), the Young Communist League (UJC) and the Federation of High School Students (FEEM), the Cuban leader called for unity as the fundamental axis of socialist construction.
He assured that, in spite of the difficult times Cuba will emerge stronger from this situation.
According to the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), the FEEM National President Amanda Santos pointed out that after the Second FEEM National Assembly, 35 agreements were reached, according to the needs of the country and the membership.
Likewise, the FEU National President stressed that the first projected work is directed to the defense of the socialist homeland with national unity, the second to the student representation and the third to the social projection of the organization.
The UJC First Secretary Meyvis Estévez, on the other hand, highlighted the commitment to attend to the needs of the youth and emphasized the significance of the formation of values.
We have this responsibility, also because of the constitutional mandate we have as an organization, in times of so many challenges; but, above all, the will of young people to contribute, create and participate prevails, she said.
During the exchange, the president and the young people talked about several issues that concern the entire student universe, which are addressed since the X Congress of the FEU and the Second National Assembly of the FEEM.
