“We are also going to reflect on the possibility of a presidential re-election,” after a reform that allows continuous re-election for regional governors and mayors, Quero said after commenting on successive polls that show up to 91 percent disapproval for the president.
“It is a joke, isn’t it?” asked conservative congresswoman Norma Yarrow, who added that a president with a 5% approval rating cannot consider being re-elected and suggested that “the ministers stop being flatterers because they hurt the president.”
Progressive lawmaker Jaime Quito pointed out that the minister should take care of the education’s problems instead of acting as the president’s squire.
Quito suggested “returning power to the people” with early elections to change the country’s situation.
