The entity detailed that the flight test was conducted in the Shaanxi region, marking the official transition of this type of airplane, to the stage of scientific research in real conditions.

The HH-100 commercial unmanned transport aircraft took off on time on Tuesday and landed safely after flying 35 kilometers.

During the flight, all system equipment functioned normally, the performance was stable, and the condition remained in good order, the Aviation Industry Corporation detailed.

The HH-100 was independently developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China; it has characteristics of low cost, large tonnage, and high payload.

The main scenarios’ applications are: feeding logistics, monitoring and extinguishing grassland fires, transporting rescue material, delivery, relay communication, and artificial rain enhancement.

It was reported that based on the system platform of this type of aircraft, a series of products from five and 10 tons and up, will be developed in the future to continue to meet the needs of large-scale customers with highly reliable unmanned transport aircraft.
