Italian writer Roberto Fraschetti, secretary of this Anaic circle, told Prensa Latina that the donation of medicines for the care of children oncology patients at the William Soler Pediatric Hospital in Havana was achieved, which will alleviate the shortage caused by U.S. measures against that nation.
Fraschetti said that, in response to a call made by his organization, Dr. Vincenzo Maria, from the Oddi Pharmacy, told him ‘give me the list of the medicines needed, because nothing that happens to humans, particularly to children, can go without a response’ of help.
As part of this campaign, other actions will take place in the coming days in Ostia, including a bike ride next Saturday, June 15, which will start at 09:30 local time from the central Piazza Anco Marzio in that municipality of the Italian capital and will cover about nine kilometers.
This initiative, to support the people of Cuba, victim of a criminal U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, has the support of the Pro Loco Ostia Mare, the Grassi Hospital Donors Association, the Severiana Cultural Institution and the Federbalneari Coastal Tourism Association, among other entities.
Prominent Italian journalist and designer Vauro Senesi, who participated in the making of T-shirts with the slogan ‘Our medicines for Cuba’, which will be worn by the participants in the march, joined the bicycle march, said the secretary of the Julio Antonio Mella circle of the Anaic.
