Prensa Latina, born on June 16, 1959, became the first and most important alternative media in the region until today.
Its value, in the words of its president Luis Enrique Gonzalez, is linked to the need to speak with its own voice, as a pioneer and school of the struggle from the Global South against disinformation, manipulation and fake news.
