The Planalto Palace, headquarters of Political Power, specified that during his visit to Europe, Lula will meet with world leaders and international organizations and will participate in the Inaugural Forum of the Coalition for Social Justice of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the discussions at the G7 Summit.
The forum will take place in Geneva on June 13th and will discuss combating social inequalities, the materialization of labor rights integrated into humans, the expansion of capacity and access to productive means, and the promotion of decent work.
Lula will later visit Italy at the invitation of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to attend the G7 Summit.
Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Africa, and the Mediterranean are among the topics of the summit.
“A probable guiding axis of Lula’s opening speech on the 14th is how these issues relate to the Brazilian presidency of the G20, such as the launch of the Global Alliance Against Hunger, for example,” said Mauricio Lyrio, Secretary of Economic Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, who pointed out that Lula da Silva will convey a presentation of the Brazilian objectives linked to the digital economy, energy transition and promotion of peace.
