In a congratulatory message to the Latin American media on its 65th anniversary, Jayathisa highlighted Prensa Latina’s confrontation with the media campaigns generated against Cuba from the United States.
He assured that the effort of this press organ to correct false news published by the U.S. media about Cuba has been successful.
The coordinating secretary recalled the unbreakable links of the agency, headquartered in Havana, with the triumph of the Revolution in Cuba and the role of Ernesto Che Guevara in its creation under the idea of the historic leader, Fidel Castro.
Jayathisa highlighted the quality and veracity of the news service and wished a long life to Prensa Latina and also to the Cuban Revolution.
The Agencia Informativa Latinoamericana, Prensa Latina, was the first alternative media of the American continent facing the great information monopolies.
