Touma-Sliman welcomed Saturday’s release of four Israelis following a military operation in Gaza, but criticized the cost to the Palestinian population.
“We called for the release of those held hostage from day one (…) at the same time, the heart breaks to see the unbearably high price that the bloody government insists on charging.”
According to Palestinian sources, Saturday’s raid by the army and special police units on the Nuseirat refugee camp to retrieve the four Israelis resulted in 210 dead and some 400 wounded.
