The agreements aim to deepen bilateral cooperation in transportation, industry, energy, agriculture, media, healthcare, water, socioeconomic development, and other areas of interest, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported, quoting detailed information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The signing followed official talks between Prime Ministers Sharif and Li Qiang, at which they reaffirmed the foundations of the Strategic Cooperation Partnership of mutual trust, shared principles, and strategic leadership, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said at a news briefing.
During the meeting, both prime ministers expressed their unwavering support for the core issues of each country. They reiterated their commitment to the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the timely completion of ongoing projects.
According to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the Pakistani prime minister reiterated his commitment to ensuring the safety of Chinese personnel and projects in his country.
