The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have generated a global impact by designating food security on the same date.

Food safety refers to the security and preventive control of food quality from its primary production, including storage, transportation, marketing, and distribution, to its final consumption to prevent contamination and diseases.

The absence of these standards can be a severe health hazard because food may be contaminated by some microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, or chemical agents (insecticides or pesticides), which cannot be detected at first sight.
