The participants of the meeting analyzed the geopolitical situation. They agreed on the routes to achieve the objectives of the ALBA 2030 Strategic Agenda, approved on April 24th in Caracas, during the 23rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the bloc.
The executive secretary of ALBA, Jorge Arreaza, reported in X that they debated the Risk Care and Management System towards forming the ALBA-TCP Development Cooperation Agency, and to carry out an “updated study of our economies to advance their productive and commercial complementarity.”
The Strategic Agenda has five axes: economic, political, social, cultural, and communications. It includes proposals for high-impact short- and midterm actions, which should be considered “an extraordinary boost” towards a comprehensive consolidation of ALBA- TCP in this new era.
The diplomat noted that “the unity of our people and governments is demonstrated with concrete actions for the well-being of everyone.”
The participants agreed again in demanding that “Washington immediately remove Cuba from the spurious list of state sponsors of terrorism.”
The final declaration of last April’s ALBA-TCP summit demanded the exclusion of Cuba from the US arbitrary list of states supposedly sponsoring terrorism and denounced its negative impact on all spheres of Cuban society and the well-being of its people. Being on that list also intensifies the criminal economic war and increases difficulties” for Cuba to enter international trade, carry out financial operations, and acquire basic supplies.
