During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the state of bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation, supported by political confidence and positive results in practical collaboration and development aid projects, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two nations.
The head of Cuban diplomacy thanked the CIDCA president for his personal involvement and his systematic monitoring of issues related to Cuba, and expressed appreciation for the aid recently sent to Cuba.
Rodríguez, who will stay in China from June 5 to 9 as special envoy of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, also visited the Great Hall of the People, where he met with Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng.
Both parties underscored the special nature of bilateral relations and collaboration in all sectors, while reviewing the current state of economic, commercial, financial and cooperation ties, and agreed on the desire to strengthen and expand such ties.
They also addressed the projections for its strengthening through the development of actions and projects in strategic sectors of common interest.
