In a statement marking International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression on Tuesday, the Ministry pointed out that 64 students had been killed in the West Bank during the same period.
The text warned that children are paying the highest price due to the ongoing aggression.
It also criticized the systematic destruction of schools and kindergartens in the coastal enclave, which is the home of more than two million Palestinians.
Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2021, more than 700,000 students have been deprived of attending classes in the Gaza Strip, 88,000 of whom are university students, the document stressed.
In response, the Ministry called on the international community, especially the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that defend children and human rights, to protect Palestinian children and called to end the war.
In April, Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa accused Israel of destroying Gaza’s education system.
