Díaz-Canel called on the people of Sancti Spiritus to “celebrate the joy of living in the fourth Cuban village, between tradition and modernity.”
On the occasion of the anniversary on Thursday, Sancti Spíritus hosted the People’s Power Assembly, at which distinctions were granted to prominent figures and institutions.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and the vice president of the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament), Ana Mari Machado, as well as provincial authorities from the Communist Party of Cuba.
