This new model emerged after the setbacks suffered by the ruler in Parliament.
Lula intends to be present in the arrangements and not leave all the work in the hands of the Minister of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, who is responsible for commanding the political articulation of the Government.
However, the understanding is that it is necessary to act to expand the votes favorable to the President’s policies, especially among parties that occupy positions in the Esplanade of the Ministries, but collaborate with the victory of the opposition in votes.
Da Silva intends to make these meetings with the leaders of political organizations more frequent on his agenda.
In addition to Padilha, the Government leaders in Parliament were convened to this Monday’s meeting: Randolfe Rodrigues, Jaques Wagner and José Guimarães.
“Every Monday we are going to have an ordinary meeting of the political core of the government with the President of the Republic. That assembly already happened, but it was a gathering of the three leaders with Minister Padilha. We are going to continue holding these encounters, now with the presence and monitoring of the president,” Rodrigues explained.
