“America” is the remembrance of a girl who lived near 23rd Avenue in Havana’s Vedado neighborhood many years ago, Rodriguez wrote on his Instagram profile.

Before this release, the public enjoyed the song “Queria Saber,” written in August 2015, and connects to wisdom, knowledge, and our concerns as human beings.

The new album, recorded in the Ojala Studios between 2019 and 2024, will be available on the leading digital platforms on June 7.

“Queria Saber” features other Cuban musicians such as Jorge Aragon and Frank Fernandez on piano in the song “Angel Ciego” (Blind Angel), Niurka Gonzalez on flutes, clarinets, and choirs, Oliver Valdes on drums and percussion, Emilio Vega on vibraphone and congas, and many others.
