Iran’s interim foreign minister begins visit to Lebanon

Beirut, Jun 3 (Prensa Latina) The interim foreign minister of Iran, Ali Baqeri Kani, began an official visit to Lebanon in the context of the persistent Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and the south of the country.

On his first tour to Lebanon, the Iranian minister will meet with the highest authorities of the Lebanese Government and Parliament to discuss bilateral relations and exchange points of view on global issues.

The Iranian Minister will include in his agenda the latest events in Palestine after almost eight months of massacres, bombing, and siege by Israeli forces against the people of Gaza.

In a message on X, the Iranian embassy endorsed the Islamic Republic’s firm policy in supporting the territorial integrity and stability of Lebanon, as well as the resistance in Gaza and combating Israel’s crimes.

Baqeri assumed the leadership of the Iranian Foreign Ministry after the death of previous Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, who died on May 19th along with President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials in a helicopter crash in the mountainous area of East Azerbaijan.
