The Honduran nation expressed its support for Cuba, by demanding the exclusion of this country from the list of State sponsors of terrorism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed in a message on X.
It also published the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of that country, which considers the placement of Cuba on that list an attack against the development and welfare of the Cuban people.
Honduras calls on the government of the United States, for the sake of the harmonious coexistence of the international community, for the Republic of Cuba to be removed from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, the text states.
It also reiterated its rejection of unilateral qualifications against International Law, including the principle of sovereign equality of States, the prohibition to intervene in the affairs of each country and the principle of peaceful solution to international conflicts.
The government of Honduras also expressed its solidarity with Cuba, “which has suffered for more than six decades the brutal impact of the commercial, economic and financial blockade imposed by the United States”.
