For his part, the president of the National People’s Power Assembly (ANPP, Parliament), Esteban Lazo, said on the same social network that “Raúl is a reference for any revolutionary; an example of discipline, experience, capacity and contributions to our work.”

“Happy 93rd birthday to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel’s best disciple,” he declared.

Also on the social network extended its congratulations the Cuban Foreign Ministry, which with the hashtag #RaúlEsRaúl, quotes a reflection of who officiated as president of Cuba between 2008 and 2018.

The Cuban Foreign Minister himself, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, sent “Warm congratulations from @CubaMINREX to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, on his 93rd birthday”.
