The Sandinista Government learned about the support for this initiative from nations like Egypt and Qatar, and added that after an in-depth analysis, it considers that the initiative is a good contribution to the negotiations between Israel and Hamas to find solutions for the Palestinian people, the families of Gaza and the hostages and their families.

“The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Nicaraguan People-president acknowledges the efforts that this proposal reflects and is confident in the successful work of the delegations and sponsors, so that we can all see this necessary, essential and urgent end to a war that has cost so much,” it stressed.

The text added that the deal also establishes the possibility of agreeing on a permanent ceasefire to bring peace to all that people and region.

“We fully support these efforts and salute the proposing countries and the participating delegations, confident in the wisdom, heart and reason committed to this constructive and common good initiative,” the statement pointed out.

The message also expressed Nicaragua’s demands for respect and peace for the peoples of the world.
