The party’s text sent to Prensa Latina, “recognizes in the US State Department’s measure an unclear intention, with respect to countries that do not cooperate with terrorist efforts.”
This measure is not enough – the letter from Vanguardia Popular stresses – nor does it have the necessary coverage to generate an atmosphere of justice in the international context, “with the sole purpose – it adds – of tightening the blockade and justifying the attacks and economic sanctions against the Cuban people.”
The decision promoted by Donald Trump in 2021, unfortunately, is still in force, and insists on maintaining Cuba on that SST list, Vanguardia Popular notes, which, in addition, reaffirms its “solidarity with the Cuban people, its Party and social organizations.”
