These people had participated in two illegal departures from the country through the municipalities of Chambas (Ciego de Ávila), and Caibarién (Villa Clara), and were intercepted by the US coast guard.
The television report states that two of the irregular migrants were on conditional release for compliance with criminal sanctions at the time of leaving the Caribbean country and will be placed at the disposal of the corresponding courts for the revocation of said benefit.
With this operation, there are a total of 45 return actions carried out from different countries in the region, with 668 people returned.
