According to MINSAL, the main goal is to guarantee priority people (i.e. children, adults over 60 years of age, pregnant women, people with chronic and immunocompromised diseases and health and education workers) to get vaccinated.
MINSAL´s latest data showed that 61.7% of viruses detected was type A influenza; rhinovirus (21,4%); adenovirus (5,2%); parainfluenza (4,4%), and the rest to other agents.
Today´s immunization against influenza has reached 67.8% of priority population, while coverage with Nirsevimab (against syncytial virus) has reached 97.3% out of every 100 newborns and 76.3% of infants under six months of age.
