From the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, its head Tarek William Saab and Cuba’s Attorney General Yamila Acuña explained the close working ties in the areas that concern them, which were deepened in successive visits by the Bolivarian Attorney General to Havana.
With the signing of the updated document for the 2024-2026 term, both institutions will be able to carry out joint cooperation and training activities in the areas of teaching, through the schools of the Public Prosecutor’s Offices of the two countries.
Saab explained that the pact has made successive advances during his visits to Cuba, and the one that will take place on Thursday in Caracas with Acuña and his accompanying delegation, including Deputy Prosecutor Reinaldo Cruz.
He stressed that the institution he heads, through the efforts of seven consecutive years, has made an important contribution to the stability of Venezuela and coexistence so that ‘dialogue, not war and violence, will be what dictates the times in our country.’
The Venezuelan Attorney General stressed the strategic importance of the exercise of full justice in the defense of human dignity, which, in his opinion, must go hand in hand with human rights.
The activity of the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor’s Office is not only punitive, but also preventive in the search to exercise, in a correct and balanced manner, and on the basis of law and justice, he said.
